Nick Savoca– Nick was born in Astoria, Queens as a first-generation American. He came to know Christ as a nine year old boy and grew up in the church receiving his call to Christian service at the age of twelve. Nick attended Bible College and graduated with a B.A. in Religious Education. He and his wife, Rozanne have three married daughters, one serving along with YWAM Metro NY. Nick & Rozanne are the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren. Nick and Rozanne are the Founders and Directors of Youth With A Mission Metro New York. Nick also is the founder of Prayer Stations which is now a global Prayer Evangelism ministry.
Rozanne Savoca– I was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and traveled alone to New York at the age of 17 to work with Teen Challenge in Brooklyn. Three years later I met and married a Pastor, Nick Savoca, in Long Branch, NJ. We joined YWAM in 1973 when our oldest daughter, Anita (Setran) was 7 months old. We had two more daughters Rebecca (Burd) and Melissa (Schindler), and we now have 9 grandchildren who are the joy of my life. Over the years there is not much that I have not done as a YWAMer. Nick and I co-founded YWAM Metro NY in 1986, and I now have the privilege of serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Ron and Anita Setran–
Anita Setran serves as the Director for YWAM Metro New York, and has previously served as the Associate Director and Administrative Assistant for YWAM Metro New York for the last 18 years. Anita has served on the Leadership Team for the YWAM Northeast Leaders and is also a member of the YWAM Metro New York board. She teaches in YWAM schools, churches and on the mission’s field.
Ron Setran serves on the YWAM Metro New York Leadership Team, on our worship team and serves as a mentor to our men.
Ron & Anita just celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary and have 3 children: Caleb is 18, Karissa is 16 and Kiersten is 13.
Tammy Adams– My name is Tammy Adams and I have been involved with YWAM for 40 years. I currently live in New Jersey. I love traveling, movies, photography, short- term mission trips, going into strip clubs…for ministry of course, and also have a heart for those trapped in the sex trafficking industry. I have 4 beautiful grandchildren that I am in love with and they keep me busy when I am around. A favorite quote I like is from a movie called “The Way”…you don’t choose a life, you live one. That is what I intend to do for Him for as long as He allows.

Emily Jerome– My entire adult journey has been focused on this one thing: God… Daily learning to Walk with God… and helping others see that He created them, values them, has plans for them, and wants to be involved in their lives. This journey has taken me abroad and stateside. I feel most drawn toward communities of people who are not originally from the States… sharing food, learning about language and culture… Sharing time together, albeit in broken English. I love my work and don’t want to stop.
Jade Biddell– Hi!! I’m Jade and I’m an Aussie. I grew up in a close knit family of six. My parents worked and were missionaries with disadvantaged Youth and Kids for most of my life. God gave me a heart for missions from a young age which is how I came to YWAM in 2011. My vision and heart in life is this: To love God and be loved by Him and therefore out of that comes a deep desire to care, love and disciple young women in whatever season they may be walking through, from a passion to being an advocate for women in slavery, to ministering to young teenage girls who struggle with their Identity, Image and so much more. To answer some questions you may be thinking, Yes I like vegemite, No I didn’t ride a Kangaroo to school and YES we have the best beaches in the world!!
Sam Blaine– Hi, I’m Sam. I like the outdoors, coffee, reading, and cooking. I have a passion to see people grow closer to God and then share it with others. I really enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee and having a good conversation.
Kate James– I’m Kate and I’m from England! I love tea, coffee, and the Bible. I have a heart for Prayer and Intercession, as well as for young people who have nobody to love them, root for them, or pray for them. I’m very interested and passionate about homelessness and poverty. In my downtime, I watch films and play sports, while looking super hipster.
Jessica Bergey– Hey there! I’m Jessica Bergey from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I grew up with a Mennonite background and heard about YWAM a year before I did my DTS in the fall of 2014. As a student, I joined the compassion track here at New York, and since then the Lord has given me a growing heart for women caught in the sex trafficking industry. Along with human justice, I have a passion for exploring God’s great outdoors. He has used it to bless, stretch, and restore me; it is my constant reminder that He is faithful! He is good. And He is Lord over this beautiful earth.
Jo Dunbar– Originally from England, I come to YWAM Metro via Wales, Uganda and Canada which is where God first began speaking to me about serving in the US. Once-upon-a-time I was a high school teacher and still love to teach when I can. I have a passion for intercession, worship, the prophetic and issues of social injustice that impact women such as domestic violence, abortion and the sex trade.
Despite leaving the UK in 2005, I still believe ‘tea’ means English Breakfast Tea, which – along with Jesus! – fixes everything, and is best enjoyed with cake and a game of Scrabble.
In my free time I can often be found getting creative whether through playing piano, singing, using my camera, doodling and working on calligraphy or making (and eating!) cake.
