Prayer Stations in Guatemala

Blessings and greetings from Guatemala. I am sending photos taken yesterday. We were able to make a major food purchase, thanks to you, and delivered water and food packages to every family in this village. We have been taking the Gospel in there every week for 3 years, and it was great to be able to serve them in this way too.
Please note the beautiful van in the photo, this was the gift of missionary friends in Indiana. It arrived just before the rains. This is its maiden voyage to help us serve in Guatemala. We will use it in December as well to transport the new missionaries we are training to Honduras. It has opened new opportunities for us.
Also note the “Prayer Station” set up. This was a gift of YWAM in New York. All the persons in red are working the prayer station. Every family in this town asked for prayer after they received their gifts from YOU!
God BLESS YOU GREATLY! This will not be a short term project. Roads and bridges here do not get fixed. The economy can’t handle it. We are able to get in and out with difficulty. We use 4x4s to go overland thru the mud.

We will continue in this work as long as the money holds out. Thanks so much for what you are doing. It is such a blessing to us and to these people.

9/11 Outreach

On the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the World Trade Center area was awash with people pouring in from all over the world, to remember that horrific day and pay homage to those that lost their lives. YWAM’s Prayer Stations were erected at various sites along Broadway. The mood was somber and many people reached out to receive prayer.

Following the terrorist attacks in 2001, YWAM launched a year long prayer outreach at Ground Zero and it was very meaningful for our team to be involved again ten years later. During that year, YWAM’s Prayer Station ministry was active 6 days a week, praying for more than 50,000 people and seeing about 3,000 people accepting Christ. One gentleman informed us that he had witnessed the tragedy and remembered the Prayer Stations that appeared immediately in the days following and spoke of their comfort.

Fashion Week

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicked off on September 8 with Fashion’s Night Out (FNO). Just a week prior, Models For Christ, joined by YWAMers and fashionista’s around the country held Fashion’s Night of Prayer, ushering the presence of the Holy Spirit in to Fashion Week events throughout the city, including FNO.

From September 8 through September 15, Models For Christ, in partnership with the American Bible Society hosted evangelists from all over the country, providing prayer support and vital sustenance as these dedicated witnesses flooded the Lincoln Center venue with the message of Jesus Christ.

Office Space

With the current ministry projects underway, our need for an office has become apparent. Please join us in prayer for a suitable office space to open up.

Bible 101

Four weeks in to our recently launched Bible 101 class, and things are going well! We have six students from various vocations and at different points in their faith walk. One of the highlights of the course thus far, has been that everyone from the newest Christian to the oldest in their faith has given similar positive feedback - that they are learning so much. At this point we have demystified the Inductive Study Method, surveyed the Old Testament and studied the books of Ephesians and Ruth. Please pray for us as we are recruiting for our next round of classes that will begin in January!
